Got a 2014 Acenta premium last year.....an for the past 3/6mths this info sporadically appears on dash . And whenever it appears the acceleration dies....like it's on kangaroo petrol (stuttery). AA diagnostic highlighted the fuel pressure censor....which I got replaced. Then when it still doing it I got it put on proper Nissan diagnostics only highlighted the downstream 02 censor ....which they then replaced . But this is still happening .....its doing my nut in. Any feedback would be appreciated....
Went back to Nissan dealership 2 days ago who carried out another diagnostic check which found fault relating to fuel rail pressure Sensor and they carried out programming. Yet its still happening....

Can't quite see how this device will kill the SS error warning on the dash instruments. Switch SS Off without warning is the usual mode. Disabling with warning shown arises from different functions within the ECU and others. The ECU actually instigates a Fail Safe mode that signals warnings generally.
STOP/START (SS) States:
UNAVAILABLE
ACTIVATED
INHIBITED BY DRIVER
MALFUNCTION
END OF LIFE
About Battery problems and SS:
There is a DC to DC (DC/DC) Converter (Stabiliser) within the Batt Management System. It will raise the system (car) voltage level from the Batt to near 12v on START and RESTART to correctly supply vehicle electronics. Unlike the old days when the starter spun and the lights dropped etc...If the Battery terminal volts fall too low at these cranking stages then STOP/START will be suspended (System Fail). RESTART is the term used to describe a new START from a STOP/START event.
Seems the Nissan dealer mentioned above can't carry out correct testing, diagnosis and repair.
Here's the general STOP/START System diagram - likely not quite accurate......A very considerable amount of conditions to be fulfilled. (Add in critical ECU engine control functions )
From Diagnostics:
VOLTAGE STABILIZER FUNCTION
ECM transmits a voltage stabilizer signal to the DC/DC converter during cranking at an engine restart. The DC/DC converter temporarily increases the voltage to prevent the electric equipment from reset due to low voltage. The adoption of the DC/DC converter enables a stable power supply to the electric equipment connected to the DC/DC converter and permits a substantial lowering of the voltage.
