It is a bit of a complication. Did you disconnect the Battery to charge it? If so just disconnect it, leave it disconnected for 30 mins, reconnect and try the car again.

If that does not solve the SS error then its a Nissan job really...sorry.

I've just check the battery levels again, before i turned the engine on the voltage was 12.05 - 12.09v flatulating, can really loose 0.8V in a few days. It was only at bout 12.9 when driving. although after a few minutes it increased to around 13.7v
Went for drive with SS on and got the usual SS fault , plus this time the the engine fault codes

P0037
P0138

so the earlier codes were related to the ss issue

What is the possibility that my battery is failing, It is only 2 years old, however i forgot mention it went completely flat to the point where it would not take a charge(this was about a year ago). So i left it , and after a day it started to take a charge. then in the following 24 hours charged fully

A battery is quite some contrary thing and when connected to the car should not loose significant volts. They can do depending on age and /or internal condition. 11volts is the lower limit really. A new AGM Battery is about £150 I imagine. If you can afford it easily then a Varta SS rated type is recommended. My car is near the same as yours and I had the FIAMM Production Batt changed by the RAC 2 years back. Varta was supplied by the RAC..FIAMM is junk

The persistence of POO37 is interesting (sort of). Allied to PO138 this time reinforces the technical problem with Oxygen sensing. The sensing is fairly complex and occurs at different times while driving and may have a time limit on the sensing. Meaning that a particular voltage value should appear to the ECU within a strict time frame. Outside of those values (time and volts) likely raises the DTCs. This is the pain we may suffer due to strict emission controls...by law.
