OD milage replaced!

This morning on the way home from the school run I noticed that the miles on my 2020 qashqai had been replaced. So for example?, instead of the usual, 12857 miles, I now see 8095 A. The letter A is in a square box. I've no idea what this is and must be missing it when I go through the owners manual provided. Could anybody shed some light on what this is? Regards

trip milage you`ll have A and B . so you have pressed a button on the steering wheel to change it and not noticed

Read your owner's manual.
2014-19 J11A-14 1.5dci Ink Blue Tekna owner; now departed for a Mazda CX-5 GT Sport Nav, 2.0L Petrol :D

Further inspection regarding trip milage. I have 1 & 2 not A & B. Still concerning. Could this be for maintainance or service?

Does this screenshot, from the Nissan Driver’s Guide app, help?

Tapping the button, shown in the screenshot below, should cycle between: overall miles driven, Trip A and Trip B - so three different mileage figures?
