I was just wondering, I have seen figures quoted for the J10 original being 114bhp and the J10 facelift being 117bhp.
Anyone know what the difference was to make the additional 3bhp? Software or hardware related
Difference of 3hp between J10a and J10b 1.6 petrol

I don't have many J10 brochures because I had a J11 and this forum was mainly j11 biased with qashqaiclub.co.uk taking the J10 queries.
Also PDF brochures from that long ago were possibly not available?
I have an "Electronic Brochure - Created on 21 January 2008 05.16 (UK time)" but it doesn't go into technical specification.
The first PDF catalogue I have is dated September 2008 and that gives figures for the 1.6 model as "84(115)/6000" kW(PS)/rpm - the emissions level is "EURO4"
The October 2009 brochure gives the same value - the emissions level is "EURO4"
The December 2009 "New Qashqai" brochure gives "115hp" - the emissions level isn't given.
The September 2010 brochures (I have two) give "86(117)/6000" kW(PS)/rpm - the emissions level is "EURO5"
Ditto October 2011 and June 2013, which is the last one I have.
So..................... To answer your question - simply a consequence of retuning the engine to meet more stringent emissions requirements?
