To be honest I don’t know what’s going on my vehicle has done 30,000 miles and is on its 3rd sensor (post cat) I don’t know if Nissan are keeping quiet about this problem but when I went to the dealer to buy the new sensor he told me they sell hundreds of these for the qashqai is there a problem with these burning out?

Theres an update to adjust they way they heat up to stop them from failing from thermal shock, if you haven't had the update it will die fairly quickly due to thermal shock

Is there a way to check for that update?
Thanks

Unless its been recorded as a software/ECU update at a service interval or perhaps recalled I think you'll need to goto the Nissan dealer. My 2017 (67 Plate) has only had a radar software update via scheduled service....Jan 2020.

This kind of thing is quite a concern really. Premature sensor heater burn out basically. I wonder if its adjustable by the Nissan Consult tool...or hasn't been corrected on sensor installs? A procedural problem.

If you can provide your current software level I can check, but you'll need a scan tool that will read ecu Id

This is the third o2 sensor I've replaced on my 65 plate just under 30,000 so average of 10k per sensor which is unacceptable, today I went into a nissan dealership and spoke to the service manager and he eventually admitted there's a problem with the rear sensor burning out, (post cat) apparently Nissan are aware but won't recall he told me they have to reprogram the ecu but this is chargeable absolutely disgraceful as its a known problem.
