Hi All, I am new here, apologies if posting query in wrong section.

I have recently bought 2017 facelifted Tekna 1.6dci model. I am really keen to install Android Auto to my model. Any suggestions is more than welcome.

Is it fair guess that i need to replace Hardware as well as Software? I have front two Bose and back one is standard, does that matter?

Thank you so much
Ronak

Welcome to this forum.

There are two basic solutions for your enquiry:

1. Fit an aftermarket Android head unit.

2. Fit a later Qashqai head unit.

Both approaches are valid but complicated - and could be costly depending how you proceed. Remember your car has much more "involvement" than just the speakers. You need to factor in the four cameras too. There are extensive discussions on the issues that will arise in other posts on here - hence Gel's response. (Don't worry - he often makes it! :) )

By far the easiest solution is to sell the car and buy one already equipped.

I have a 2017 QQ and the headunit is distinguished by the map SDCard. Personally I consider such an upgrade as a hiding to very little.

Use an Android/Apple mob phone/tablet....at least those are well supported. The aftermarket China headunits are likely not and anything from Nissan is generally awkward...and very, very costly.

Thank you, this is very very helpful. I have bought this car just yesterday, so i think i will keep for few years for sure😃. Let me check other threads...I might settle without this if it is going to cost a bomb.

Again, thanks for your response, Ronak

Hello, have you found a solution?
Have you installed a 2 DIN or have you found an official NISSAN console with Android auto?
