Can any one please help. The buttons on my connect system are not working correctly. If I press the radio button the camera comes on, if I press the phone it turns it dim, the map button sometimes puts the camera on. I cant get the map up unless I go on the sat nav and put address in. The buttons just don't correspond with what they are supposed to do. I contacted nissian dealer today and they have said they will need to send it back to France for repair. £600 I have a 2016 nissian quashqui.

That topic doesn't exist any more.

Welcome to this forum. I can't recall anyone having this problem before.

It was working fine but all of a sudden the buttons were not doing the right commands. I have had a look through the forum and could not see anyone with this problem. The camera comes on when I press the info button but it doest come on when I press the camera button. The map won't come up at all either. only when I set a destination.

Let's see if others can suggest a reset option somewhere.

Thank you for your response. I did a factory reset. But that made no difference. Hopefully someone will have an answer for me. Cant afford the £575. To get it sent to France for a repair, then the labour charge on top for taking it out and putting it back in.

Did the dealer inform you of what procedure they carried out to test the head unit?

The cheaper alternative would be a 2nd hand unit and likely off eBay. I think that has been discussed on this site elsewhere?

No he first said £140 to diagnosis it, then said they had one before like this and had to take it out and send it back to manufacturer in France and that alone would cost £575. Thank you for ur response

From what I've seen of this problem the dealer can only run the head unit "self diagnostics" which mainly tests the audio/radio and screen. It won't test the Navigational/Camera functional problems you experience. I am looking at Nissan diagnostics for the head unit.

I'd say there is a processing problem with your head unit where the selection buttons are not commanding correctly. The command response is confused. That could be a software or hardware problem that cannot be tested for at a dealer...hence the dispatch to France. Probably the manufacturer there.

The result of any test they do is to replace a complete unit anyway. In your case I suspect thats a complete head unit and will take months. Vast cost. The manufacturer will not waste time performing any repair, unless it was dead simple and taking a few minutes.

If you know anybody that can help you with a 2nd hand unit (eBay scrap dealer) or a replacement Android unit I think you will be better off. Nissan on this subject is very good at wasting time and money.

Sorry for that news.
