I have a 2015 Qashqai and want to install a connect 2 satnav unit that was previously in another Qashqai. I have been advised that the head unit will need coding to my car before it will work properly. Is this a job for my Nissan dealer or is there another way of doing it?

What's wrong with the one in your QQ already??

Mine only has the CD player in so wanted to upgrade

There's a member from RUSSIA here, Black_Rojer, who sells Connect Units & SATNAV map cards who may chip in to help. You may presumably also need an antenna for it.

This device is locked in the car immobilizer. Without unlocking reinstallation in another car is not possible, there will be problems. Unblocking can make the dealer (Consult-3). But probably not get the dealer to do it))
