Hi guys, new to Qashqai and to forums, looked for that topic but couldn't find it.
Does anyone else experience jerky starts when Start/stop is on? It isn't smooth when I stop and start normally, seems even worse when I get to a red light that changes quickly and it only stops for a few seconds, or when I try to quickly join a roundabout or a junction.
I don't mind the function, it is nice to have something designed to help the carbon footprint and makes some MPG difference, just wondering if there is a smoother way of using it? Tried pressing the pedals in various ways, with and without Auto Hold but there is no difference.
Or alternatively shall I just turn it off every time?
Thank you?
Got QQ Tekna J12 btw.

I turn it off as soon as I get on, I don't see anything but problems. I would like to be able to disconnect it.

I don't know if it will work on this model but one way I have used in the past is to tweak the bonnet closure switch so that the system senses the bonnet being open. This is one of the conditions that disable stop-start.

It doesn't work on J12.

Hello: I just found this on the internet:
the star stop system is deactivated by removing a single screw, I guess I wouldn't come back to the forum, but yes, the star stop system is deactivated by releasing a small switch that is attached to the inside of the hood closing mechanism by that small screw, you just have to access it by removing the two 13 screws that secure the hood closing mechanism and following the corrugated sleeve that has two thin cables inside you can perfectly see the tiny switch that appears to be a connection but upon closer inspection you can see a small step-shaped plate that acts on a valve when pressed by the hood closing mechanism when it fits together when it is closed, it is the only screw that will be observed, there is no fault and the DIY is completely reversible, if you have any doubts or problems you just screw the switch back into place and everything goes back to standard, the same system as in the j11 but perfected so that you don't touch it and go to the workshop.
