Qashqai Model: Mk.3 Qashqai - J12 (2021+) New Model

Post by drewk1 »

Hi
Just had my new 2024 Tekna MH for over a week now and very happy with it.
A couple of minor annoyances.
The car pairing code comes up every time I start off even though I’m paired and all works fine. Can this be turned off?
When I press. The speed limiter button I get the driving aids screen in the middle display.
Also can this be turned off.
I cannot find anything in the manual but I could be overloaded with new car info !!

Hi and welcome.
Some things in life you just have to learn to live with. As annoying as it is that applies here.
Having said that you soon get used to pressing the OK/Decline tab.
I am sure you will enjoy the car.

I reset the Nissan connected stuff and the pairing code code has gone away.

Just the bizarre behavior of the center info display when using the speed limiter or cruise control next.

Simply press the arrow button and "navigate" to a screen you prefer ?

Yes I can press the arrow button but surely you shouldn't need to do that every time you use the speed limiter/cruise control.

Even if I turn off the blank screen in the list of screens to toggle through it still returns to blank !!

If this is as intended it is a very poor UI implementation.

If you can’t resolve this, perhaps book an appointment with the person who sold the car to you and get them to go through the process with you sitting in the car ?
Not ideal, I know

That’s awesome! I had a similar experience when I got my new car last year. The pairing code popped up every time I started it too, and it was super annoying. I ended up finding a setting in the Bluetooth menu that let me turn off those notifications. As for the speed limiter screen, that might be part of the driving aids setup, which you could check in the settings. Manuals can be a lot to handle, so don’t worry if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed. And if you're curious, the shipping car cost for mine was pretty reasonable; I was surprised how smooth the whole process was.
