Hi everyone, in this period it is better to replace the cabin filter for many reasons. I recommend a filter other than the original Nissan one to avoid some problems. The main one is that due to the shape of the original one, it can be damaged during assembly. While the model in the video is different with the opposite folds and is easily assembled without risk of breakage.

I opted for type 2, Mahle filter, a doddle to fit, Nissan had to be dragged out kicking and screaming. Oddly I always heard a slight whine with the Nissan one when the fan was at a higher speed 4 and above, Mahle has no noise.

Excellent, probably the old man wasn't in the right place and could have made noise with the air.

hi, I'm sorry but the one you mounted is not type 2, but type 1, that's why you had problems. Type 2 can be assembled in a few minutes, without damage.

here, this is what I use and show in the video. 0 problem

never had a problem with doing mine, the reason why most struggle is the hight of the gap what the filter goes in to. not sure why they couldn`t do it the same size as the filter (ford cars do ;-) )
i often find some times it takes longer to clip the plastic cover back on correct than it does to replace filter.
