Hi, apologies if this has already been covered but not 100% sure of my options.

Bought a 2015 1.6dci, stupidly didn't check the boot and there's no emergency spare wheel or emergency kit/foam holder. Looking around, the complete emergency repair kit inc foam holder aren't available, only incomplete second hand ones on eBay or FB marketplace.

If I buy a space saver 19"spare, do I need the foam inserts too (sure this is daft)? Also the screw to hold the wheel in place in the boot, is this the same screw that holds the emergency kit foam in place?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You just need to wrap the jack and handle in something like an old towel and jam it between the tyre and the tyre well to stop them rattling around. Not the most elegant solution but only seen by you. The clamp screw should also be fine.
Have done this on two Qashqais.

just remember the floor will be a bit higher once you put the spare wheel in the well ;)

I recently purchased a full 16" spare wheel kit from flea bay including the foam etc. as I didn't trust the gunk to be of much help if I had a blow out. As Andy has stated, this does cause the lower boot floor to be slightly raised up and the foam inserts help to level it off. Still enough room for a few things under the raised floor of my N-Connecta though.

Hopefully I'll never need to use it !
