Automatic brake vs hill start assist

Hi, I’ve activated the automatic brake function in my car but read that hill start assist won’t work if this is on. I do a lot of hill starts on my journey to work. Do I need to deactivate the automatic brake each time I come to stop on a slope? Not driven an automatic before so still finding my feet

Hill assist is working when automatic brake function is turned off. This is if you don't won't to always use auto brake but only when car is on hill. You still need to press brake pedal enough until hill light come green. Automatic brake will work always, flat road and on hill, just you need to press brake pedal enough until auto hold light is green.
