TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM ISSUE

After having a pair of new front tyres the front right wheel is now not showing a reading. Took the car back to the tyre dealer who tried to reset the TPMS but couldn't and then then said it must be a faulty sensor and went on to deny it could have anything to do with them. Rang the Nissan dealer and they wanted £150 + to replace / code a new sensor, car is under warranty but they said it doesn't cover the TPMS sensors. Rang a Kwikfit who said they could replace the sensor and code it for £70. Took it in to them and after playing around for an hour they eventually said they couldn't do it and it would have to go to Nissan.

Is there something special about the Qashqai TPMS or does the fact that no one can reset or code a sensor indicate it's a fault with the actual TPMS module and not just the tyre sensors?

Nothing special about the nissan 1's around £60 online they just screw into the valve. Any good garage should sort the problem out easy for you. I'm sure they ate self-learning sensors as i've never had a problem when changeing tyres

Had 3 done on my 2019 J11b over the years, all done by the local tyre place, never had any issues with them after. Paid about £70 each time.
