Fuel flap not releasing

I need some help or advice,I was in the petrol station and pulled the release tab to open the fuel tank but wouldn't open on a j11b had to get a piece of card to pull it open. I don't know if anyone else has had this issue.
I don't know if it's this spring causing the issue.
It doesn't seem to have enough pressure to pop open on its own like it used to??

Will it be possible if someone takes a photo of there spring just behind the fuel cap so I can compare my spring thanks

Hi mate it because Ur model is j11 same as the gf car but iam look for the j11b fuel flap

I see now, apologies as I didn't know that the petrol and diesel had different filler caps.
