Qashqai 2014 non turbo - Sluggish over time

Hi,
When we first got this car it use to run quite well, it had decent power and would pull along quite nice. Noticing over time even after services it doesn't go like it use to and does not make any real pulling power until 3500rpm. It idles nice and is smooth through the rpm's but just lacks the torque it once had. Spoke to my mechanic and he just said it is what it is basically. The car has never been flogged or over revved (wife's car), doesn't blow smoke that i have notice it's just a little too slow.
Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated.

You keeping it serviced regular. Fuel filter changed every 2yrs. Also try putting diesel cleaner in every 3months see if that helps you.

Get serviced regularly, also it is a petrol model.
