Building a list of bits and pieces that need answers before going back to the dealer. More ‘concerns and worries’ for what might happen going forwards than hard and fast failures at the moment. Need more miles on the clock as well.

I noticed, with my J12, that strage brake sound, several times but only under heavy loads, on long routes, more than 300km. Heavy loads, i mean, 4-5persons in the car, and travel bags full load... So far, more then 25000, done in 16 moths... Noticed that sound last and this etate, and last autumn... In winter conditions ( Romanian and Moldova, routes), didn't noticed squeaky sounds from brakes.

Still have this issue. Anyone have a fix?

Had my 72 plate Tekna in for its first service on Saturday. I mentioned the brake squeal to the garage when I dropped it off.

They cleaned the brakes and test drove the car - problem was still there.

They then skimmed the disks and replaced the pads - all on warranty - problem solved so far.

They indicated in the service video they thought problem was down to marks on the pads. (sorry for picture quality - its a screen grab from the video)

This has always been a problem with disk brakes. It is normally solved by ensuring that the pads can float freely in the callipers and by applying grease such as coppa-slip to the back of the pads and to all retaining pins and shims.

Brakes

I have a 2023 qashqai and it is going in next week to have new bushes fitted to the brakes as they are making a god awful noise
Not what I expected on a 6 month old car with 5k on the clock
