re; Water in spare wheel recess - J10 QQ

Just been reading this thread my daughter has a similar problem with hers leaking, can I ask the small black drain plug in the picture should that have a hole in it to allow the water to drain or be a rubber plug ? As her’s look like a plug , was going to pour some water over the rails tomorrow whilst sitting in the boot to see if we have same leak site .

Hello I'm new hear just join to reply to your post, I've just brought a N Q 2008 1,6 Petrol with the same problem water in boot any way the water is coming in under the rubber seal if you pull off the rubber you will see the white sealer in-between the two parts of the body work has been washed out over the years and need resealing, also the are 2 holes at the bottom where they should not be, I just filled them in as well......but I hope you have fixist it by now Good luck
