Loss of power.

Today I was using the A! for a 30 mile trip. All was well but about half way i was unable to do more than 48mph thus really annoying truck drivers who keep to 58mph. This seemed to occur after a yellow dashboard warning popped up which may have been a lane warning of some description but was so quick it was impossible to take in. I was unable to stop until I got to my destination. The return journey was quite normal and I was able to use 80mph for short periods when conditions allowed. Can anybody please shed any light on this occurrence?
