Locking all doors from the inside ?

Anyone know how you central lock the doors from the inside please? I do occasionally drive through some dodgy areas.

Button on drivers door, looks like a padlock

Driver's door switch at front of switch array; read up your manual.
Once engaged a lock icon lights up underneath heater controls.

Because our EU masters banned the useful speed lock facility ie when it gets to 15mph
I recall, you need to get a plug in adapter (as I have) to reinstate this vital feature.
