To be honest, there is a good chance import duty will get missed.

If it gets picked up you may have to pay about £15 to £20. But I didn't have to pay import tax and I doubt many here have.

I have added the DAB USB adaptor, Can I not just use the built in GPS and DAB aerial?

Yea, you'll be sent adapter looms to use the existing antennas for gps and dab. Just let them know you have existing dab and gps or send a picture so they know which model you have.

and while I'm complaining there is a constant background hiss while nothing is playing. if I set the volume to 0 it goes away. I'm assuming it's sending an already amplified signal, but I have a bose system which should require just the unamplified signal.

Can't really see enough line out connections on the back to rewire.

any ideas on how to get it to work properly?

anyone with bose here facing the same issue?

I assume you lose the speed signs on the centre display as the built in sat nav has been taken away? it does read some but has a blank sign most of the time now?

Yes, turn by turn will be lost. Speed signs on the VID will work when the front camera picks up a speed sign, but the car will not know a roads "default" speed. The Nissan Satnav previously supplied that. So starting up the car or not coming across a speed sign for a long time will mean no road speed gets shown.

Me personally, I keep Waze/Satnav on 99% of the time, so always have that info.

Anyone tried to do factory reset or upgrade android on sinosmart head unit?
If so how did it go and what's the newest android system (is it 13 or 14)

Yes, you can do a factory reset. It may knock some settings off like having to pair your phone again etc but most of the time nothing will need changing.

The headunit works off Android 10. Afaik this is the highest on the market.

Tried factory reset today but it didnt work. I went to factory reset put in a code "123456" then enter and nothing is happening. Is it the right code?
Any help please?


Check settings and it says that i have android version 12. See photo.

Download Aida64 run it and you will find that version 12 is a fake. It's actually version 10=api29
