Is there any way to disable the Guest screen option that appears every time you start the car, I am the only one that drives the car and find the screen a little annoying.

Other than that I am enjoying the car and the way I drive has been altered by the e-pedal which i use a lot :D

I agree its annoying but it can be ignored and it goes away. The screen which is even more annoying is the permissions accept or deny one. I can't find a way of getting rid of that but I suspect that it is because I allow the car to attach to my home wi-fi but not to an internet connection via my phone. I am going to try to wind back all network connections except the mobile phone functionality itself. Probably won't help though!

Its annoying because it comes on every time you start the car, if I'm out doing some shopping and have to call at a few places then I have to deal with the screen every time I get back in the car. If you find out how to disable the screen please post your fix,

This is called welcome screen or something in the settings. I was able to disable it and now the only annoying thing is the agreement screen that I need to accept or decline.

I will look for the welcome screen in the setting and disable it, at least it will halve the annoying screens at start up :)

They need consent for SOS services, explained in the video below.

Weird how other manufacturers don't feel the need to ask for such consent via their vehicles' touch screens before every journey.

I share your doubts. It would mean that if you click decline the emergency services won't work and I don't believe that. It is far more likely that Nissan actually store information about your use of the car or if they don't they are at least contemplating doing so. The world of large scale data gathering about each individual is becoming more scary every day, especially with what is referred to as artificial intelligence but is often actually bulk high speed data harvesting and processing.

Many thanks for the comment about the welcome screen, I've now been able to disable it as well and get rid of the irritating second pop up. Echoing comments about the permissions screen, evidently Nissan's lawyers have advised erring on the side of caution esp as the EU is getting a bit more particular about companies use personal data. Obviously some other companies-in not firing up a "opt-in" screen everytime- are taking a more relaxed view....

Have we confirmed the actual consequences of ignoring the permissions screen? It goes away pretty quickly and live traffic still works...
