Automatic air intake control

I tried to activate "Automatic air intake control" but, apparently, don't have this feature on my N-connecta. Anyone with higher trims tried this function? I think it should recirculate automatically when bad air from outside is sensed.
Qashqai J12 N-Connecta, 140 hp manual.

Interesting - no one's mentioned that setting before.
Also comparable - on my Ignis if I set the climate to AUTO the air intake control is by default varied according to the requirement:
If “AUTO” switch (8) is pushed, the air
intake will vary automatically as the climate
control system maintains the selected temperature.
... so it works by on a cold day putting the air intake into recirc temporarily to warm the car up quicker and on a hot day putting the air intake into recirc temporarily to cool the car down quicker.
Nothing to do with pollution I'm afraid.
