I think I learnt more in an hour using that app than I did in the several sessions trawling through the pdf manual.
The app will be great for my wife. Especially the warning lights if any of them pop up, she'll panic....even though it's more likely to be an 'info' light.
She can use the section of the app to find the corresponding light, click on it and up pops the info. It's much more 'user friendly'.
She wouldn't take the time to sit and read a manual, even though you really need to with this car to get the most out of it.

These are the 5 handbooks that were included with my Qashqai. The handbook called “Getting the most from your Qashqai” is basically the printed version of the app’s quick reference guide:
I have installed that and had a quick browse. It is so much better than the pdf version. Much easier and faster to navigate plus it has the multimedia system instructions as well. That's a great find
One great thing I found using that app is how to set up different 'profiles' for the multi media system. Either by using a different key, (which the car recognises and automatically selects that profile) or by the welcome screen on start up. Very clever.
Just make sure you have one set of keys in the car when you set up the profile, it will make it easier.
When I collected my Qashqai, the dealer set up a profile for me but I had both sets of keys in my pocket which caused a bit of confusion once the keys had been separated later on at home. I took the set of keys which hadn’t been set-up for a user profile!
Anyway, all sorted now.
