Service plan and extended warranty prices for the J12 (August 2021)

The prices for service plans and extended warranties have now appeared on the Car Configurator website for the new Nissan Qashqai (UK only). Prices correct as of 16th August 2021:

SERVICE PLAN
2 years: £439.78
3 years: £639.68
4 years: £839.58

WARRANTY
1 year: £340
2 years: £850
3 years: £1,350

Just checked and in 2017 I paid £249 for a 2-year service plan for my 1.2 petrol engine and in 2020 I paid £297 for a 1-year warranty extension.

Extra 3 years + £1,350 ... that's quite some money for a warranty.
If *everything* is covered then no problem and I do understand, but if transmission, clutch and or X-Tronic etc etc ... is not
As we know KIA is offering 7 years (total) for free (don't know what is covered though).

Nissan servicing has rocketed in price - far beyond inflation.

The Gloucester garage now charges £229 for a minor service and £309 - so £538 for two years. That's petrol - diesel is £269 + £369 = £638!

Three years ago the same services would have cost £199 + £269 = £468 and £219 + £319 = £538.

Four years ago the same services would have cost £159 + £249 = £408 and £179 + £269 = £448. This was before they stupidly made the pollen filter change annual rather than biennial.

These are the extended warranty costs I was advised when I looked to extend in 2018:

For my 1.2DigT Tekna on 19,500 miles the quote was starting 29/06/2018:

One year/80,000 - £377
Two years/100,000 - £747 (that's an extra £370)
Three years/125,000 - £1207 (that's an extra £460)

So a one-year extension is now cheaper!

For comparison I've recently extended the warranty on my Ignis for a year for £228.40 including AA!

I had the service plan on my Juke and on both QQs.
I paid for mine month by month, it was a bit of a saving over the two year term and importantly saved a big kick in the wallet at service time.
I didn’t plan to keep any of the cars beyond the term of the PCP deal so two services was enough.

Last time I used the configuretor for the Tekna+ (manual g/box) front fog lights and a space saver spare wheel were a selectable option but now both seem to have been removed.

I noticed that too @malvern_man. Nissan have tweaked their website slightly. The fog lights now appear under Ventilation and Visibility and the spare wheel under Safety & Security.
There are also prices for some of the other optional accessories, including mudguards (£137) and under body protection (£261) for example.

My configuration page looks nothing like the one you've put in you post, I can't find half things your picture shows eg ventilation and visibility, exterior accessories etc, etc.

On my iPhone (using the Safari web browser) I had to click "Filters" and then a window popped over showing the other accessories

Thanks for that, found the other options now, I never thought to click on filters.

I can't see the new optional dash cam on the options though.
