Glynn Hopkin Nissan just said "This product is no longer available to purchase from the manufacturer."

Part numbers are confusing me. According to https://nissan-europe.epc-data.com/qash ... 172/17040/ , I need P/N: 17040BB50A

However, I know these numbers change a lot, but there doesn't seem to be a list of parts which supersede or are compatible.

For example, our fuel filter/strainer is listed as 16400BB50A, but was replaced by Nissan with 16400BB51A

Can anyone help explain to me the part numbering system for Nissan's? There are loads of fuel pumps on eBay and other websites, with similar part numbers, although they mostly say they are for the 1.5dci not the 1.6. They all look the same, but I'm not sure if there's any weird differences.

I would be tempted to go the 2nd hand route on a vehicle of this age, there's a few options on eBay, here's one:-https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115891036913 ... media=COPY.

I can't see why there would be an issue matching up an after market pump, try a good motor factors, give them your reg and see what offerings they have. You could remove your pump and look at who manufactures it then do a search on that, there's many different options open to you.

Good luck, sorry I can't answer your question further in relation to part numbers.

Part number for pump is 17040BB51A
As for your fuel filter you had replaced they are 2 diffrent types one with a white plastic top and one with a black plastic top. And normally replaced like for like. Part numbers often change as improvments are often made on products

Hi, I’ve got a working pump from a J10 1.6dci, I’ll check part numbers on it
