What a nightmare Nissan are creating for Qashqai owners with the 1.3 engine. Nissan will not acknowledge there is a problem with the thermostat housing, not whether there is a modified one and will not reveal from which VIN number any modified housing is used, in the meantime owners are spending hundreds of pounds changing housings when there maybe no need to change them, there appears to be different pictures on here that show different gaskets between the two parts of the housing having the same part number, shame on Nissan for not coming clean to their customers about the true situation so that owners can make a decision based on fact, as whether they need to change their housing......

Well after replacing the thermostat which nissan couldn't identify, turns out my 2020 model had the most recent part. So I've got a spare thermostat in seemingly perfect condition if anyone wants to buy it?

Question to any of you that have replaced theirs, can you identify the part number when it's installed? Nissan claimed they couldn't identify it, so if I wanted to replace it then it's at my own expense.

Thanks for that, my car is also a 2020 but my part number is 110607087R which apparently is also an updated part.

Mine was replaced this week. 2019 69 plate. Original was 110607087R. I can scan the QR code on the replacement and it is 110600260R

I'm guessing it wasn't brought into production for nissan until mid 2020, so it will depend on what was available stock wise at the factories when the cars were built. My car is a late 2020, November I think.

Mine is a 2019 and has the 110607087R part fitted (and I believe failed). Now, I bought this car used and so I do not know if it had already been replaced (Unlikely given the age!).

So looking at this closely, there is a seam which has got a wonky joint on it. Is this the point of failure? If so, and this is the 'updated' part, then could this not just be a case of in 3-4 years time this part will start to split too?
