Thanks.

Hello everyone, I follow you from Spain. I am a user of a Renault Kadjar Tce 1.3 with 160 HP, so I share the same engine as you. I have installed a capacitive sensor in the expansion vessel bottle to warn in case of loss of level. I leave you a link and videos about it so that you can do the same, since Renault and Nissan are not doing anything about it. I hope it is useful to you.

Hello there.
Monday I was driving along without a care in the world and all of a sudden at a set of traffic lights saw a big puff of steam.. turned engine off straight away, got towed away and thermostat housing spilt.
Sent into dealer, discussed this forum and the problems encountered and assured that it wouldn’t be that bad.
Had my thermostat housing replaced and called to pick up car. Happy days - or so we thought… next morning apparently all the coolant had again leaked out the engine and now looking at a 8k bill and 2 month wait for a new engine.
20 plate. Fully serviced 50k miles.
No warning signs. No faults prior to the day and as it’s a lease car (that I maintain) no choice but to get the new engine fitted.
Absolutely gutted!!!!!!

You need specific details of where the second coolant leak was. If it was a result of negligent work, or a replacement part that was faulty, the blame is squarely with NissanDeano900 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 5:25 pm Hello there.

Is it a single model?
Is it ok if I order this piece?
I can't find it at any auto parts supplier.

It’s the correct part number and looks fine to me.
I’d love to know what he’s saying in the short video, anyone translate please?

In the link to the Spanish forum, I explain how to install the sensor in an indicative way. The video shows an example of the operating principle.trout wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 3:19 pmAppreciate the video, but it doesn’t explain anything?osvaldo.przgl wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:37 pm Hello everyone, I follow you from Spain.
