Part number is correct, it’s the latest one with obvious amendments.

It doesn't say it is Part Number Xxxxxx, it says its for Part Number Xxxxxx. That's subtly different.

(specifically worded responses that suggest or deny something without specifically answering the question formed a large part of my career). Its made me cynical I accept.

Qashqai Model: Still looking for one....

Do you really want to buy a critical component for your car from Amazon ?? They may say it's guaranteed or with warranty but that's only the component, the engine is out of your pocket if it gets blown. Buy OEM.

It was something I saw on the Qashqai owners club, I simply put it on here for peoples attention, caveat emptor!!
If your engine blows out of warranty the cost of a new engine is out of your pocket anyway, you think Nissan will pay. :)

Maybe, I suppose it depends on if Nissan qualified mechanics themselves do it, no idea what rights you'd have legally. In any case the picture of the one you see on Amazon,eBay etc is a non OEM equivalent of the housing in question. The OEM version still has the visible seam and has not been changed to be solid in that area. I've checked with both Nissan and Renault on this in two service centres directly.

Exactly, no change visibly, you’d think if Nissan had made an improvement to it the difference would be clear to see.

Sorry to jump in on the thread, my 2020 QQ is currently in with the dealer and has been for 5 weeks now finally having the gearbox replaced under warranty. Would you recommend asking them to replace this part whilst it's there? It's only got 17k miles but I'm driving to Europe in August and don't want to be left stranded!

The housing has a QR code on the side, the data that that returns when u scan it holds the part number. You'd only need it replaced if the part number is not the latest - N110600260R.

Thanks, I'll ask them to check. But the question is whether it's worth doing this pro-actively at my expense?
