Just scanned the image and it gave me the number 110607087R, this is different to Pandjh image above.
that’s interesting, my car is a J12 manufactured in 2022…
That suggests the J12 is made with different components to the J11b where this issue has been reported. That's no surprise tbh.
but isn’t the 110607087R that’s on mine the one prone to leak?

My 2019 Nissan Qashqai 1.3 went in to limp mode on the dual carriageway lost power. No warning light or anything! Had thermostat housing replaced by the garage the AA arranged cost nearly £500 also £220 for a new battery. I have been told by Nissan dealership that engine needs replacing at the cost of £7800. I bought this car 2 yrs ago for £16000. I still owe £10000 on the PCP. The mileage is 53400. I don’t know what I’m going to do! Contacted Nissan customer services they said they will get back to me in 48 hrs.

Sorry to hear of this, awful position to be in. I will say your getting done by the garage, 220 for a battery is double what it should be. Best to get a second opinion by an independent garage.

I can honestly say that no-one on here or on Facebook has ever been able to quote the part number for the part that failed. If u have a J12 I think you can rest easy.

Hi all,

imho its just the sealing: Could be bad quality or assembly issue by suppliers. Can not blame final assembly at Nissan Sunderland bc everybory knows that they proof and track all torques of the installed bolts. Just send some greetings to purchasing department oops:

Visual Inspection of engine and upper-part of gearbox monthly should be the trigger: If there are typcial dry sediments of coolant water u have to check the leak asap with a pressure pump (watch out for max. legal pressure of coolant system!)

There is new YouTube Video how to replace this part in a Kadjar (by MTM) and use the pressure pump to check for leaks).

Hey Jo98, im so sorry to hear about you QQ. We are currently battling it out with Nissan. We have had the Thermostat housing replaced by Nissan at around £500 too. We had it back for around a week, and the petrol consumption was awful, and a really strong exhaust smell.

We returned it to Nissan who took all of 2 hours to confirm it was an engine replacement. Nissan then after around 2 weeks came back and stated that they will pay 100% of the parts, and we need to pay the labour, however we are currently pushing against that. The labour cost is around £2K. Thats where we are currently, if they have accepted the cost for the parts, why not the labour, it doesnt make any sense at all.

As your car is under 6 years old, you still have some consumer rights, take a look here:
https://www.themotorombudsman.org/knowl ... 0of%20sale.

Ensure you have a full service history for your car as they will ask for that, also if you have not already done so, open a case with Nissan Customer care ASAP. We have re-iterated on multiple occasions about this forum posts and the number of vehicles with this problem. You will need to no doubt get your car into a Nissan Dealer near you, as they will work together i.e The Dealer and the Customer Care team.

They are offering good will gestures (various contribution) if the car has full nissan service history AND if the car is under 8 years.

There is no reason take cars to nissan for 8th service or any further as this will not change their mind.

My Nissan Qashqai thermostat housing needs changing. It isn’t cracked or broken but leaking from seams. I’ve put sealant for a temp fix. Where can i order the thermostat housing from? Does it have to be from the dealer?

.
The consensus on here is that the part is only available from a main dealer.
Search through this thread, I believe the Renault part fits and is less expensive - but please check

Just seen this for sale from Amazon, it looks to have a very beefed up joint now compared to the existing ones?
