Qashqai Model: Mk.1 Qashqai Facelift - J10b (2010–2013)

Hi all.

I have purchased a Qashqai and it has a stop start warning error on the dash. The car had the wrong battery fitted when I bought it. It wasn't a stop start battery.

I fitted the correct battery about a week ago now and still have the error. Some people are saying the battery needs pairing with the car and other garages I have spoken to say I don't.

Does anyone know or had this same issue before I send it into Nissan?

Thanks in advance.

You don't need it paired as such but the ipdm/emcm does require the battery data clearing so it then know it need to carry out a calibration on the new battery so as to work out State of health and state of charge ect.

A full code scan will be more beneficial to begin with before making any assumption as to whether or not its do with battery

I have had a full scan at Nissan today its thrown up a P0016 fault code and requires glow plugs, I am going to change these later then fingers crossed the error goes.
