Hi, anyone had to remove radiator cooling fan, Haynes make it sound fairly straight forward but nissan manual talks about bumper removal etc. Mine is very loose on the bearing and wobbles making noise.
2016 1.5 diesel. 62k.

is the fan engine side or bumper side of the rad.

if engine side it might come out with care and with the radiator core covered over just in case

It's engine side but even with everything as per Haynea removed there's no way I can get it out from the top. Unless I'm missing something.

OK, managed it in the end by removing upper Cross member above rad. Fiddly job.
New fan from Nissan £420 + vat!! Went with ebay £120.
Poor that fan bearings should fail after 63k. Bloke at Nissan denied all knowledge.

Hi Spud,
can I ask how your new fan from ebay is doing? My fan needs replacing I would like to do it myself, with a fan bought online. Would you recommned it?
