Engine remap

Has anyone had there ecu remapped on a 13 plate j10. Ive heard all cars come out of the factories very un tuned, so they can take different qualitys of fuel and different climates all around the world. I've been told remapping can give better mpg and more hp well within the engines safety parameters. Thanks.

Which engine and gearbox does your car have ?

btw I haven’t heard any of those things !

I did read, on a Facebook group, a chap had something like this done with his 1.5 dci and he considered it a waste of time and money.

Hi mate, my engine is the 1.5 dci with the manual gearbox. A search online explains about cars being so de tuned, Cheers.

It's certainly possible - the 1.5 diesel would have been detuned to get it under the 100 emissions threshold.
