I occasionally drive on the motorway, however if my car goes over about 65mph it starts to make a drone sound - like a rhythmical heartbeat, round and round as though it may be a tyre. This has happened for about a year or two now.

Other issues with my car is a squealing noise when damp/cold in the morning for a few minutes as it goes up the street. And occasionally a scraping noise on one side as the tyre goes round especially when taking a bend, mechanic didn't know what this was, but has eased off slightly now so may have been when it was not used much in lockdown)

I am more concerned about the droning noise. As search engines say this could be a wheel bearing but would this have been picked up on its MOT or service? Thanks.

Please can you say what model (J10 or J11) and engine you have

However, it sounds a little like faulty wheel bearing noise

As MikeGC states it sounds like it could be a faulty wheel bearing. Jack up each wheel in turn and spin the wheels by hand, you may be able to hear the rumble or feel roughness as the wheel spins. The one that rumbles or sounds rough will be the faulty one.
