Hi can any one help ..
On my 1st topic my 2011 1.5 dci ..when I drive over 3500/ 4000 rpm my anti skid lights come on the dash .. I was parked on my drive and tried to rev my car to 4000rpm ,but it won’t rev over 3000rpm when I’m parked ..it’s like it has a rev limiter ..when driving it will red line no problem .just to note my tick over is 850 which seems high ..no engine management lights on at all
Any ideas

Welcome to the forum.

The tick over sounds about right but it’s a few years since I had a diesel QQ.
Why won’t it rev over 3000 rpm when stationary ?
No idea, sorry, but it sounds like a safety feature - perhaps ?
Hopefully someone will be along who knows

Haven't tried it in a QQ, but my Renault Trafic is limited to 3000 rpm when stationary in neutral, as was my previous van. I assume it's a modern "feature".

From Nissan Diagnostics there are various tests that require the engine to run at 4000 rpm

MAF
Oxygen sensors

MOT emissions tests are at 3000 rpm. Appears engine revs are not limited at car stationary state.

sounds like the manifold pressure sensor pipe blocked at back of engine if your getting the anti-skid lights come on.

Would the blocked pipi cause the revs to be limited as I mentioned

Parked on my drive ..it will not rev over 3000rpm

When driving it will rev round the clock ..but when it hits 3500/40000 anti skid

Likely whats happening is related to what the ECU sensors report. Static and driving conditions are much different.
