Hello everyone.
I have a 2010 Nissan Qashai J10 (6 speeds) and yesterday i've traveled for 400kms, mainly on the highway.
After some time, driving in 6-speed when i tried to reduce to 5-speed i couldn't do it for several times, and then i was able to do it after some effort.
For some minutes the gears didnt work well and then it stabilized.
When i was arriving home, the same thing happened, but i had to stop the car tottaly beacause no speed was working. And then it stabilized again.

Can i have some clues about what is happening?

Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks!

Welcome to this forum.

Need to check the clutch operation - is it hydraulic? - is the level correct?

Thanks gloucester!

It's hydraulic. I visited a officine near me and they checked the oil level, they said the level is fine. Clutch was replaced one year ago, in July 20.

Although the level is fine, when was the fluid last changed? Clutch fluid attracts moisture and need to be changed as the heat gets into the fluid it vapourises the moisture and you then have virtually no clutch. Also the same with brake fluid where you get the old fading brakes syndrome
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

I have a similar problem with my 2019 Qashqai which has only done 8000 miles.
The clutch biting pointing is very low which means it is difficult and some times impossible to change between gears 1-4 and between 5-6 when the engine has warmed up.
Would changing the fluid solve the problem?
Comments appreciated.

.
The car is within the manufacturer's guarantee period - take it back or take it to a Nissan dealer

Sounds like Clutch/Thrust Bearing problem. Gears cannot change if clutch doesn't release easily/fully

Hi Geejay, as Mike has mentioned you should not even be considering this problem except out of interest. You have paid out reasonable money for your QQ and a Guarantee is included (if still in the period), so get down to a Nissan Dealer and let them sort it for you - Dave 😉
