Hi all!
This is my first post on this forum as I'm just buying a new car, and I found one Qashqai 1.6 dci 360. What I'm afraid of, is the DPF filter and all problems that come with it. Right now, I'm driving a petrol engine so I'm not familiar with DPF.
As I spend 80% of my drive in the city (a lot of traffic, around 17-20km drive from my home to my job), I'm pretty sure that I will have some troubles with DPF.
What are your opinions about it? Do you have any troubles with it?
Thanks everyone in advance!

I have the 1.6dci and last year only did 4k miles with the various lockdowns, touch wood had no problems so far, but I do regularly take the car for a longer drive 20-30 miles or so maybe once a fortnight
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong but...
If I remember correctly the J11 diesels have the DPF quite close to the engine. This keeps the DPF hot and less likely to block. Of course taking it on a good run every couple of weeks helps. When I was a member of the Juke forum the recommendation on there was to drive for 20 minutes at 2500rpm (although not straight forward if you have an auto box)

Throughout the week, I would probably drive only from my home to work and vice versa, which is 17km in one direction, and that would be a city drive.
On the weekends, I usually take some longer drive, around 100km and that's usually on the highway.

You won’t have DPF issues with 1.6dCi, it was very well designed, closer to engine, heat insulated, fumes pressure regulated etc. etc.
No worries at all, 1.6dCi is great motor.
