Well it only needs to be done if you carry small children in the car - doesn't it?

Turvey, I can really understand your concern about the distance / time involved to get this update down, but I do detect a little concern / worry also if you do not do it. If you have been advised by Nissan on this Recall, I believe that it is also monitored by the Dept. of Transport. Why not give your Dealer or NCS a Buzz and see if there is any possible legal problems if it is not done - Dave 😉

Just stick a sticker on the door next to the switch saying it hasn't been done.

Just found the letter the Nissan dealer sent me in 2021 regarding this issue, I think I probably ignored it at the time as the vehicle is currently being driven by my daughter and is unlikely to ever need the child lock facility.
Current: '24 reg e-Power Tekna in Magnetic Blue
Previous: '65 reg 1.5 dCi n-Tech (currently being used by my daughter) /// '08 reg 2.0 dCi Tekna 4WD (sadly deceased)

it`s a 15 min job for them to fit 2 rubber grommits to the rear of the door, shame they don`t hand out the bits for you to push on yourself, but at least they wash and wax your car afterwards (well they do at westway nissan  )
