Hi, just installed leather seats into a j10 2012 and there is no connection in the loom for the heated seats, just the 3 blocks for airbag/seatbelt sensors.
I have put the switches in for the heated seats into the centre console and they light up fine when pressed.
I have the plugs (see photo) for the heated seats, so where would i splice/connect the cable in to power the heated seats?

Thanks for the reply and pdf. Would it be possible to run the heated seat connector in the pic directly to one of the wires under the heated seat switch?

Possibly? Be prepared to blow a fuse though. Can you not test the seat heaters first with a fused line (say 1 Amp then 3 Amp then 5 Amp) to a battery....safer? The main fuse seems to be 10A which should be ok where total heater current flow is approx max 70% of that.

Could I use a piggy back fuse line from the 10amp heated seat fuse direct to the seat to test? Sorry not 100% sure

Yes...as long as your'e sure that the seat heaters are ok. If a short exists the fuse should blow. A test with an ohmeter (multimeter) would help...if you had one?

Thank you so much for your advice, will dig out multimeter at the weekend (weather permitting) and have a go

Swapped out the cloth seats for leather ones but still having trouble finding a power source for the cable in the first post to power the heated seats, any ideas anyone where I can connect it? Got the switches fitted no problem as the 3 blocks were already in place in the centre console.

If the switches light up when pressed how have you wired the switches ? Where the plugs already there for the switches?

Hi, yes the plugs already there. Picked up the switches from the breakers yard and plugged in no problem. Just the other end under the seats, no wiring in the loom to connect the wire underneath the seat.
