I have a 2010 Qashqai Tekna with the Bose sound system. Recently I lost the sound from the speakers followed by a drain on the battery. It’s been diagnosed as a faulty amp which has now been removed to prevent the drain. Part no is 28060 ey10a. Ive spoke to Nissan and they say this has been replaced with the newer model at a princely £250. I can not find a spare amp anywhere online and and no repairer has said they can fix it. Does anyone have any experience of this fault? Was it an easy fix? And are there any alternative amps that can be used?

I presume the "newer model" is 28060 JD65A (from https://nissan-europe.epc-data.com/qash ... 280/28060/)
I found one of those at €399 !!!

I've found one but it's being sold as a complete set - https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/292916949268
You could try getting them to separate them?

Thanks for the replies.
Having phoned around it seems there is no way of repairing these amps and other than buying one from Nissan at top rate, there aren’t any used ones available. Does anyone know if you can use a Bose amp from a different vehicle, or a completely different amp altogether?

Hi we have just purchased a 2011 Qashqai which has the same problem with a blown amp
I have connected a speaker to the rear of the stereo and sound comes out so I know the head unit is working.
Sound also comes out of the sub woofer in the boot but none of the other speakers.
I have opened it up and can see one diode & transistor look like they have blown
Looking on a number of websites the part number is 28060 with no reference number but have seen lots off various other details (the one we have is EY10A)
My question is what is the difference between them all as they all look very similar?
Is it, as someone else referenced, just the way they have. been 'tuned' to each car?
I have found a CB00C on ebay for £30 but curious if this would work in our car
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I can see this thread is super old, but I found it while googling, so maybe someone will find my 2 cents as well.
I had the exact same problem as Andy20369 - an amplifier that worked, but kept draining the battery. (In my case - because of flooding the amp)
My 2009 Qashqai was originally fitted with the 28060 JD65A.
I found a used replacement for nearly 200 EUR, but before buying that one I decided to take a chance and bought a 28060 CB00C taken out of (supposedly) a 2007 Murano for around 15 EUR.
And it works just fine.
So - at least to some extent - they ARE interchangeable. And if the price difference is that large - I'd say it's worth a try.
