Hi guys. I am wondering: does updating firmware gives you anything noticable (except for bug fixes)?
Like new options, features, UI changes?

Is it worth updating from D302 to newer if I don't have any problems?

I have Qashai J11 2015

One improvement I noticed was that when I press the steering wheel skip buttons it jumps between my radio presets instead of the next station in the alphabet. That alone made me use the radio a lot more now!

Where do you download the firmware from. We've just bought the car and not familiar with the system.
It's in this thread, but you have to go back a LONG way. Link below.

Make sure you have a Connect 3 LCN3 head-unit (just search on Google Images to compare).

Follow the guide below to update it.

It would be great if a mod could add this info to the first post in this thread.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for this thread, I bought myself a 2015 X-Trail this week and have successfully upgraded the firmware on the Connect 3 unit from D302 to D605 today.

I have no idea if this is the right topic but we are trying to do a software update on our 20 plate qashqai.

It says the current version is 0808.

It’s currently not been downloading and I want to avoid it going back in the garage as it’s only just come out after 2 weeks due to locking and wing mirror problems. We bought the car in January 2021 from a dealer.

If we can find out what the latest software is how do we obtain the file to download to USB which might be quicker.

Many thanks :)

If thats under warranty check with the Nissan dealer. They can do it FoC...if an update has been issued. My (2017 QQ) was done at service but not for media headunit. No updates have been issued for 2017 headunits....one assumes nothing is wrong with them. Not of the crashing variety anyway.

Hi everyone, just wondering if someone could possibly help me please.

I have a 64 plate Nissan Juke with what I believe is the connect 2 unit. (Pic attached)

Since getting the car I’ve had a lot of trouble with the audio cutting out and often the unit restarting completely. After searches I believe this needs a firmware update. I’m computer savvy enough to be able to do this myself but I’m wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to which version I’ll need please?
Currently it’s running D302
I only got the car in august but the dealer is not being very helpful unfortunately.

Thank you.

Mr Monkey, try a factory defaults reset then connect to wifi. That's all there should be to it. I'd also suggest loading the map update tool on a PC too in case ur account needs to be activated with Nissan somehow.

Hi,

After my J11 QQ (DOM 2017, pre-facelift) head unit software voluntarily crashed, I've tried to install both D554 and D605 , using 2 different 16 GB USB sticks. But in all cases update fails at 74 percent mark and at around 56 minutes while executing "Check partitions for CMSDSRegionType EUR". Have any of you experienced the same issue? And would be there any suggestions what to try next? 3rd USB stick?

Below picture is taken rougly 10 minutes before the update fails, since this point nothing changes until update fail itself:
