EMS fault and shift indicator and gear lever fault

I have a 2022 Qashqai which I got in March but the EMS light has gone on and when I took it to the dealer they said it was a shift indicator error and I had been accidentally moving it from auto to manual which I didn’t agree with as I made sure I didn’t touch the manual paddles. And the car was in drive. I had a warning check position of gear level when I drove home and The EMS light is now on again and it sounds like the garage haven’t got a clue! I have lost confidence in my car and I wondered if anyone else had any issues like this

Welcome to this forum.

I'm not surprised the "garage hasn't got a clue" - I didn't have much faith in mine! You could always try another dealer!

Can't help on this and I don't recall seeing this come up before.

Anyone with a J12 had this?

I picked up my J12 at the end of March.
I've only done 800 miles so far and haven’t seen this fault.
