Hi, sorry if this has been posted before, but I have connected my car to my phones hotspot. I have gone into the settings to check that it is connected OK, which it says it has. Great.
When I go into the sat nav the traffic info switch is grey'd out. If I click it, it says I need to connect to a hotspot before it will work?
I don't get it?

Also, when I am connected to my ipod, I cannot get it to play an album? Every time I select an album it plays the first song then continues to play the rest of the songs in the ipod alphabetically. How can I play an album?

And how do I get it to work with android auto?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks for any help. I start a new job 40 miles away next week and really need the traffic info to be working beforehand!
Gaz.

Welcome to the forum.

Other than that I’m afraid I can’t really help.
One thing from memory is that your car might not have Android Auto - for a bizarre reason, known only to Nissan, it wasn’t universally installed

Thanks for your reply, it's OK, I hadn't realised I have to have my phone connected to the car via cable to make the android auto work, which it does fine.

The other two questions still stand though, I'd prefer to use the inbuilt satnav, but without traffic/roadworks updates it is next to useless.
And the ipod issue? Every other car on the planet that you can connect an ipod to allows you to play an album from said ipod. What gives Nissan?

I checked mine today.
Both my partner’s iPod and my iPhone played music without any problems

Welcome to this forum.

Unfortunately I don't have detailed knowledge of the ICE in your car.

w.r.t. updates to the Sat Nav
I have only done this via my home WiFi, my partner had her last update on her Leaf done by the dealership (the phone hotspot didn’t work for her either)
I connected to WiFi and started the update and per instructions left the engine running while the update loaded (about 20 minutes)
