New to QQ, Advice Please

Hi Chris,
Yes, backed up the existing then plugged usb into pc started map update and still said its the latest, then tried wifi again and the same.
Tried the software update again on way to work this morning and still says downloading, after 45 min nothing, am i missing something or is there something that needs to be registered?.
Can I download what I need separately from somewhere?.

Setup the PC based map update tool first, that will ensure any registration steps you need to follow get done. After that your car will be known to whoever issues the software and map updates.

Yes did that, i think it was the vin number, I've tried starting it without usb in and with, both have the end result.

Does this mean you've now got the latest map updates etc.

Hi, tried again tonight and it says I have the latest maps and I am eligible for updates till 2024, no idea what the problem is.
I also tried the software update and that did nothing but hang on downloading again, I have took a screeny of the service menu if it helps.

What does it say if you click on the map updates heading?

Your screen says you've got map version 15041_0_9, my version is 15041_0_7 so your maps look like they are newer than mine but I've not checked for updates for a few months. I always do a full map reset everytime too.

All I know about the software update is that I sat outside my house (connected to my house wifi) in the QQ for well over an hour while it downloaded and installed.

Hi, no updates available it says, I went out today did a 50 min drive with car tethered to phone WiFi, no software updates were downloaded so not sure what to do on that.
Got a new usb cable and android auto starts but does not display on car screen. Seems to be flaky at best.

Hi Mark,

I'll check for map updates for my sat nav one day next week and I'll see what it says.

As for the software update I have no idea, I've never had my phone connected to my QQ. When I did my software update I connected directly to my home WiFi by sitting outside my house and entering my WiFi details etc on the QQ touch screen.

Hi Chris, thanks for the advise, I tried that yesterday, ran a hardwired ap out to side of car, waited for 40 min and still the same, stuck on downloading.
I see an option in the service menu to update by usb, so just need to find if I can get a copy.
I'm at the dealers Tuesday for a new key recode, maybe they can do it.
