Stop/Start System Fault Message
Have you managed to resolve this problem yet? I got the stop/start message a few weeks ago, Went to a local Wilco's well connected it up and told me I needed a new battery, so I purchased one from them and they fitted it and reset the fault. Been driving it since with no problem until Friday. The stop/start message reappeared, so I've bought an obd2 reader, plugged it in this morning and it's saying that there a P0090 error which relates to the fuel pump. I also have a 15 plate qashqai.
Did the fit the correct type batt EFB and set the car up so it knows a new batt is fitted ??Dummerboy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 12:04 pm Have you managed to resolve this problem yet? Hi. I have same issue/code p0090 low fuel pressure control function. Stop/start flashing plus yellow EML on. Battery changed by AA. Drove fine for a 1 day. Same issue came back. Any help advise much appreciated.
I went back and spoke with the mechanic and he said the new battery is a better replacement than the EFB that used to be fitted and that things were correctly set up after they installed the new battery. He cleared the fault for a 2nd time and I left. Car been driving fine all through these faults and once again this morning up come the fault lights and stop start disabled. Checked the code and it's P0090 again. Any ideas as to what I do next Andy?
Car batts are to be replaced like for like EFB - EFB. AGM-AGM. your mechanic should have known that.
Fuel pressure seems to be the fault everyone is haveing so ask your friendly mechanic to check that out for you

I've just been back to the workshop and they're not sure what the problem would be but they're not capable of doing that sort of fault finding and repairs in that workshop. So it seems I've either got to take it to the main dealer, who will charge a small fortune or find a another workshop who know what they're doing.
