Hi all,

Really hoping someone can help with the problem mentioned below.

I have an Nissan Qashqai Ntec 2010 1.6

When I indicate left the car judders and cut outs, not always but the majority of the time. It then starts up again with no issues. Two mechanics have looked at the car and are out of ideas. I've been told the earthing looks good (although I don't know much about cars)

Has anyone ever come across this before and if so, what was the solution please? If I don't indicate it runs fine, never had a problem with it until now.

Any ideas to find the fix would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Ok I'll be the first smart alec to reply, I'd recommend not indicating on a left turn or only turn right 😎
Joking apart, I have no idea tbh but I'm positive that someone will be along soon with an answer or possible fix to your situation 👍
I'm guessing it's something extremely simple.

I’m not an expert but...
1. Have you done something to your car, prior that issue, any service, parts replacement or extra wiring?
2. Can you monitor the voltage when that moment occur? If excessive consumption occur, then you are getting closer, if not you need specialist.

Keep in mind that indicating and engine running got almost nothing in common...

At a wide-ish guess I'd look at a particular unit first...it would be Body Control Module (BCM).

Why:
Its the first port of call for investigation of controls such as lighting various (e.g turn signal) and the power consumption control interface. Plus many others. Diagnosis in any case would require Nissans Consult Tool

Remember...I'm guessing

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? On my Qashqai, the cruise control the other day it started to de-activate when indicating left. While checking this wasn’t my imagination, after the fourth test it switched off cruise altogether and now I can get it to switch back on let alone activate it. In the tests indicating right was fine. So this sounds a similar issue to yours - maybe in the early stages as fortunately the engine still runs. Any ideas anyone? Thank you.

The Qashqai is 2009, so doubt it has any cover left 14 years on. If I put cruise back on within a minute of turning left, that’s it - loose all cruise for rest of the journey. Tested tonight but indicating right straight after left then I’m OK to put cruise back on. So I either need to remember not to indicate left (it may allow a couple of times before completing switching off cruise) while in cruise or wait that minute after indicating left. Anyone have any ideas?

Looking at the original post - the owner appears to own a J12 - hence my comments

Then the poster goes on to say 2010 - confused or what
