This article might well be worth a read regarding the scrapping / disassembly of old Batteries in the future - Dave 🤨
“EV batteries are larger and heavier than those in regular cars and are made up of several hundred individual lithium-ion cells, all of which need dismantling. They contain hazardous materials, and have an inconvenient tendency to explode if disassembled incorrectly.”

Nissan, for example, is now reusing old batteries from its Leaf cars in the automated guided vehicles that deliver parts to workers in its factories.

I know it's against all reasoning these days, but I, personally, believe that keeping modern (gasoline) cars in mint condition for up to 20 years is the best practice for the global ecological challenges.
IMHO ... far better than switching to the hyped EVs and in say, 5 years from now, our governments (again, like with diesel) decide that EVs were *not* the way to go after all !
Mild hybrids and especially PHEVs are in fact also a very bad idea because of a.o. the heavy duty batteries that will need to be replaced in 5-10 years.
But ... taxes and restrictions ...
