Hi QQ owners,

I have bought a 70mia front and rear dash cam and the hardwire kit. However this kit does not have the piggy back fuse or connector, instead it is the three wires style. Could any of you wiser person tell me which fuses to tie the ACC & VCC ends please?

Many thanks.

I'm not sure what the question is.

Normally you'd have a two-wire connection lie this one:

Here's an annotated image of a similar one to yours

The red goes to a fuse (one switched on by ignition - take your pick), the black goes to earth, so does the white go to the rear camera? I think it's a 5V output? Don't you have a wiring diagram?

EDIT - now found another interpretation:

So the white wire is for the parking function?

Hence you're correct in asking which two fuses to use. I presume the parking function has less drain than the normal one? Any ideas anyone? My dashcams have always only had a two wire connection.

Someone here's made a video saying he hasn't a clue!

Right - found a better video - check out

That led to this:

You could connect the "always on" to the rear accessory socket fuse and the "ignition" to the front accessory socket fuse. Not entirely sure which fuses these are though - there are three possibilities at least?

I'm guessing CIG_LIGHTER is the front one and POWER_SOCKET is the rear one.

What I remember from doing this 2 years back is:

Ignition controlled power (engine running) is from the windscreen wiper fuse. Many other fuses are in the related service switching line so could knock the camera off unexpectedly. Piggyback to wiper fuse under glove box and likely red wire. This is immediate on/off of camera with Start Button.

ACC Function:
Iv'e not played with ACC or using the radio etc with engine off. I don't think you need ACC unless you need the camera on with engine off for some reason?

Not sure what happens to accessory car power with engine off...some time outs occur I think?

I'm going to install my 70mai hardware wire tomorrow on my Qashqai acenta 2019.

if I understand correctly we connect the yellow cable ACC to cig_lighter fuse,
while the red cable (VCC+) to the power socket fuse?
is this correct?
thanks

Do you really need the ACC service? I think it provides power to Auxiliaries for only 20 minutes after engine OFF.

I think It is used to activate the parking mode.
in the event of a collision while the car is parked, it activates the recording of the camera for a few minutes.

Yes...does the power socket for ACC remain live all the time the engine is stopped and doors locked?
