After replacing FRONT brake discs and pads, at a garage, i am getting once in a while a "slip indicator" light on, red engine light, along with "CHASSIS CONTROL System fault" warning and a "SYSTEM fault" warning.
Most times it goes out after a couple of seconds or a minute.
Has the mechanic done anything wrong, or have missed some kind of calibration?
The only thing that comes to my mind is that he damaged or misplaced the ESP/ABS sensor at one of the front wheels.
EDIT: OK i have an update from the mechanic . He says a hose was damaged and it caused something to burn . PLease see these pics:
What is this hose? Can it be that something was installed wrong and caused this?

If something caused burning is it ABS connector/wiring thats been damaged. Does ABS work correctly?
The black pipe is likely a vacuum pipe. What/where are its terminating places...? Can't see why a mechanic would play with vacuum pipes.
There are considerable faults that can trigger the system fault messages you see

@calnorth .
I figured out that the pipe is the exhaust pipe going to the exhaust pressure sensor. That was damaged.
BUT how can these be connected to the SLIP indicator light and the "chassis control system fault" ? I am confused.
Nevertheless some people seem that they had similar problems :

Exhaust faults will raise system errors and are sensed by the ECU. The cars emissions fall outside emissions requirements and as such is an MOT failure.zsimaiof wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 9:21 am @calnorth .

The warnings show disabled sub systems because in the case of engine type failures (incl exhaust) the engine cannot be controlled correctly. Basically Body Control (stability) is lost. Braking defaults to ABS only.
