Evening Guys
I’m at my wits end with this car, I have a 62 plate Qashqai and it has a terrible knocking noise coming from the front, it started from the passenger side and I have been to two garages and changed loads of bits but it’s not cured it.

It’s not knocking from the drivers side two

I have replaced
- top mounts both sides
- both lower arms
- both drop links
- and the passenger side shock which made no difference so I took it back off

The last garage said they have checked everything it’s all tight and the rubbers and bushes look fine,

It’s hard to explain if you go over a speed hump both wheels together no noise but if your driving down the road and there are dips or holes or bumps where only one wheel is effected then it knocks to shit

Please help me

Has anyone checked steering rack bolts for tightness and also worth checking the sub frame mounting bushes

I had the same problem, exchanged everything including shock absorbers. Last but not least I diagnosed myself using stethoscope that the problem is coming out from Steering rack 480014EH0A. I replaced it with SASIC 7376041b and finally the knocking noise is gone!!

You only need to remove subframe and then replace the steering rack. First of get it diagnosed by stethoscope if the noise comes from there and then order RHD version for UK. The one I noted is LHD version.
